Watch It!

I am currently watching the first season of HBO's True Blood. The second season was available to me free on-demand. I watched the entire second season, and I loved it. I was a bit skeptical at first. I get a little annoyed with the whole vampire fad. But the show holds up past its hook. It will make you scream, laugh, and turn you on. Take a look at this funny clip of my favorite side character:

Happy Hacking

A couple days ago I was wandering around the internet trying to figure out a way to hack into the laundry machines in my apartment complex so I wouldn't have to pay a couple dollars every time I use the washer or dryer. I knew how to trick coin laundry machines into working for pennies instead of quarters, but my machines were card operated.

Instead I found out a number of terrifying ways of hacking into websites, security cameras, and personal computers. Amazed at how easy this was, I began to do just that. Hack into websites including whitehouse.gov and hack into security camera networks including Pitt University. It was incredibly amusing. I watched people drop things on the street and laugh at them. :)

But then I came across a household network that not only had security cameras linked up but also light switches, fans, ect. From a click of a button the resident could turn off, adjust, or turn on anything. However, so could I. I had essentially hacked into everything electronic in their household. I could control everything from lamps to thermostats. It's a good thing they didn't have any robots around their house.

Unless you think you can firewall hackers from reaching your network, DON'T CONNECT YOUR CAMERA OR SECURITY NETWORK TO A COMPUTER THAT IS CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET!

I have yet to figure out how to get free laundry. Ironic.
